Sharon:
I take my inspiration from nature all the time. So I wanted to do something that I knew could protect it. We started EcoBags 30 years ago with $2000 and an idea. My vision was to create a shift in culture. We'd promote the use of reusable bags, anything that can replace a single-use plastic bag. So I started with Chase 25 years ago. I just wanted some place where I could bank locally because local relationships are the fabric of the community that you're in.
Andrew:
So EcoBags is 100% online and it's all credit card transactions. We're selling 24/7 and we need to be able to take transactions from anywhere in the world at anytime, securely, efficiently. And we use Chase Merchant Services on the back end for processing our credit cards.
Sharon:
We like all the credit card features, we like the rates, the fees were lower, and the transaction part was easier. The turn-on time, it's perfect, which give us much better cash flow management. You have to be able to pay your vendors, you have to be able to pay your staff. So that turn-on cash is critical.
Andrew:
There's just a lot of peace of mind.
Sharon:
And we really like our relationship with Kathy, who's our banker. We know if we have any concerns, she's a phone call away. People's mindset is changing. There's a difference being made and that actually feels pretty good.
